Hey all,

I placed several vias in a template area for stitching, but now I would like to delete a few of them to make room for a component. However, when I select the via and hit the 'Delete' key, then ALL the stitching vias in that net are removed! How can I just delete single vias?

Here is a picture showing the single via selected:

And here is one after pressing the 'Delete' key:

47.44 KB

Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi Cheditor,

If I place them manually or using 'Utilities' Apply vias, I am able to delete them one by one.

Which method did you use to create the vias?

If you are able to send an example design of this issue to Support@pulsonix.com I can investigate further for you.

Hey Lewis

thanks for your reply.

I can't really recreate this issue now, strangely enough. Maybe I unwittingly changed the setting that was causing it.

Perhaps it was related to some track/via optimization stuff that goes on. There is some other via auto-deletion behavior that I haven't mastered yet, which may be related to via "protection"...

See:

Options > Edit Track > End On Via - Adds Protected Via
Properties - Via > Allow Automatic Changes > Delete if not Routed

Regards
Chester

Hi,

That certainly sounds like the option you had on.

Many thanks

Lewis
