Hello.

Is there any way to know the position of the "PCB Panel origin" on the Board?
(in Report Maker)

I need report to make a file with the coordinates of the components relative to the corner of a Board or to a "PCB Panel origin" (if defined).
(to make pick&place file for assembly machine).

Best Regards,
Mikle.

Hi Mikle

I have created log 39442 to look to add functions to Report Maker to report the origins.

Attached is my report format file for generating centroid x/y placement files which will run on panels or PCBs if it's of help to your immediate need.

If it is run on a panel then you get a column for pcb number, if it's run on an individual PCB then this column doesn't appear in the output.

I usually set the origin myself at my "A" datum or the bottom left corner of the panel or PCB at the start of the design phase.

Thank you. A very necessary functions.
I do not want to take on the additional restrictions on the location of elements and styles.
